In recent years, I've noticed every Bride is obsessed with having an amazing GLOW on their wedding day. I have to admit, it does allow for an effortless skin finish in your forever photos. The "super matte" finish can seem "super fake" when the skin looks powdery, especially if you have an outdoor wedding. It can give the appearance of heavy makeup. I try to suggest a timeless, polished look for my brides, with a drop of contemporary "Bridal Glow".
Here are 5 T.I.P's to create beautiful, Glowing skin for your special day, & the rest of your life!
1: Drink Water: Need I say more? To those that don't have a clue as to how important water is for your body... you MUST hydrate from within first. In doing so, it balances out your facial oils so your skin does'nt over produce it's natural oils in your t-zones. With dehydration, the skin can become more vulnerable to skin disorders and premature wrinkling.
2: Exfoliate is so important. it removes the dead skin so your skin can actually receive moisture when you hydrate. I'm currently using Clinique Exfoliating Scrub. This scrub de-flakes skin, unclogs pores, and visibly softens fine lines to help you achieve a clearer and more refreshed complexion. -Using fingertips, massage product onto skin in a circular motion, avoiding the eye area and lips.
3: Use a Mist or Serum prior to applying your daily moisturizer or night cream to assist in opening up your skin and allow it to become more receptive to receiving moisture. Some people use a toner or astringent in this department. These options help with finding the right combination that works for your skin type and texture.
4: There are so many choices for moisturizer. I feel its important to try samples of products before committing to a full bottle or jar of anything! Hydrate with a light weight moisturizer in the day, especially if you wear makeup routinely and a heavier creme, preferably with oils at night.
5: Routine skin care is the key to overall beautiful, glowing skin. Following a daily and nightly skin care regimen least 3 times a week a time to even begin to see a difference in you overall texture, tone and Glow!will increase your chances at having amazing skin on your wedding day.
