I guarantee these few faves will allow you to Command the zoom the next time you log into your meeting.
Apply in order to maximize your MakeOva’:
1. Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer Mini
Apply this creamy, brightening primer all over your face using your fingertips. It’s a gorgeous pearlescent moisturize, but one draw back, the radiant sheen can be noticeable if not blended out evenly- especially if layered and used alone. I mainly use it under makeup as a primer and it instantly minimizes the look of pores, and adds longevity to my foundation, concealer, contour and blush.
2. Fenty Precision Sponge100
First of all, I was never a sponge lover, until this lil beige baby came along. I love to use a stippling technique to apply or kind of rollin off the face as I press in, mainly for tinted moisturizers and foundations. Use damp for buildable coverage; use dry for full coverage. Know how to play all your angles. The three-sides takes blending to the next level with triple-threat precision. The mini-moon edge for targeted coverage (perfect for the under eyes), and the rounded end for all-over buffing, regardless of the formula; liquid, cream, or powder. Latex free
3. It CC+Cream with SPF 50+
Skin in a bottle...That’s all I have to say! I love to wear this for early morning gigs when I barely have time to get ready but I want to appear fresh and awake. Apply 1-2 pumps with sponge or preferred kabuki brush. Can be used as your moisturizer, anti-aging serum, concealer, foundation and sunscreen, based on your coverage needs. For best results, apply a smooth, even layer to your face, neck, and décolleté for complexion perfection. Focus on parts of your face that may need the most coverage first, such as under your eyes, around your nose and mouth, chin and center of forehead. All of which typically require color correction for acne or uneven skin tone. My favorite for outdoor events when you don’t want to appear “overdone“.
4. Fenty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
When Fenty first came out, I was in awe! This foundation had my heart right out the box. Drawback: I know packaging is totally for preservation of the product, but it’s always frustrating when you can’t use a foundation to the last drop. After using on about 8 Brides, different skin tones it‘s a great wedding day foundation paired with (M.o.M—Milk of Magnesia) and a silicone based primer for longevity and minimal touchup. Gives skin an instantly smooth, pore diffused, shine free finish that easily builds to medium to full coverage. This oil free soft matte foundation is made with climate adaptive technology that's resistant to sweat and humidity, and won't clog pores so that wherever you are, it's going to work on your skin. Random facts: Rihanna’s shades- 340, 330, 360, or 370, depending on the time of year. Shade-Finding Tips: Always shake before use to activate the pigments to see the truest color. When you're testing shades, remember to let the formula dry down and oxidize completely wherever your swatching, to find your best match.
5. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer
When you need to conceal the secrets of the night before that are visible all up under your eyes, this is your best friend! Layerable coverage with no build up, and full coverage, for 16 hrs of wear. Apply to eyelids as a primer for eyeshadow. Random facts: 43% of each tube is infused with tape technology which is like a veil of silk to help smooth & blur appearance of fine lines & wrinkles; Nourishes delicate undereye area with mango seed & shea butters while licorice root brightens undereyes. Shea Butter: a natural skin emollient that helps retain skin elasticity. Mango Seed Butter: vitamin-rich butter helps moisturize, condition and protect against free radical damage.
6. Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette
This pallet is so amazing for every day, even a night out on the town. I actually use it for summer bridal looks often. Great on every complexion, and very easy to blend out. Fun facts: Infused with the juicy scent and antioxidant-rich essence of peach.

7. Younique Blending Brush
Everyone should have a blending brush in their kit. Preferably sized to hug the crease of your eye lid. When you add dark color or warm tones to the crease, you add depth to the eyes. I have to say it, this is a great dupe for MAC 224 tapered blending brush. It’s a paddle shaped eyeshadow brush cut for precision that you can use to pack on shadow then buff it out for controlled crease blending. Synthetic bristles and tapered paddle that effortlessly builds and blends color for any look.
8. Too Faced Better than Sex
I love, LOVE this mascara! Everyone has a favorite, and I’m sure this one is on a lot of people’s list. Used by many from the catwalk to the sidewalk! They say the hourglass brush bristle is inspired by the curves of a woman’s body, designed with extra stiff bristles to maximize the performance of this carbon black, collagen-fueled formula. One coat, and your lashes are full and defined. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled, and dramatic. Three coats help you achieve the most intense, black, multidimensional lashes possible. Smudge and Paraben free
They offer a waterproof but that’s never been my personal fave.
9. Fenty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter
Ginger Binge/ Moscow Mule; soft copper sheen/ supercharged copper shimmer. One of very few highlighters that can be used as a blush as well. I primarily use as a rich blush on lighter skin tones and as a pinky copper highlight on darker skin tones.
Unlike your everyday highlighter, Killawatt keeps skin lit beyond sundown with its weightless longwear creamy powder hybrid that instantly melts into skin and blends with almost zero effort. Use on your face, eyes, collarbone ... literally anywhere you crave a touch of light.
10. MAC Retro Matte Lipstick- any bold shade
How many times have you heard RubyWoo roll off peoples tongues ? Such an iconic color in the beauty world. A staple product for many. I love to wear a bold matte lip with fresh, dewy skin in the summer! Ruby Woo and many other infamous shades within the retro matte lipsticks. This long-wearing 8hr+ formula features intense colour payoff and a zero-shine matte finish.
They say one MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick is sold every minute in North America*
11. Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer
All the Luminizers are a great by themselves or as a top coat kind gloss for any under color. Shine up a nude or bright bold shade. My favorite is Fu$$y; a muted, medium pink with warmer undertones and a luminous finish with fine pearl and a high-shine. It has a lightweight texture, smooth, and creamy with sheer shimmery gel-like finish. Not heavy or sticky. Roughly 3 hour wearing time depending on eating/drinking. The sweet scent/taste isn’t overpowering at all!
12. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
Or as I prefer to call it, Makeup wipes! Towelettes just sound So fancy.. Honestly, These wipes are great. They’re one of the only removers that take off my long wear lips, liner and mascara with one wipe. These pre-moistened towelettes contain superior cleansing technology so effective it removes even waterproof mascara. You can use around eye area, but dont rub to hard, has been know to Irritate sensitive skin. I mostly use these wipes to remove under eye fall out while doing makeup, but remember to properly clean off any residue. If not, your concealer or foundation have An issue adhering and staying congealed.

Thank you for your feedback ❤️ I originally kept my sponge in my kit for clients that “neeeeded” to see it to think I was an official artist lol So funny how times have changed. Back in the day if you put a sponge while your were unpacking your kit, a client they would think you were unprofessional, and still a newbie in The bizz especially if they didn’t see foundation brushes
Soo good! I've yet to jump on the sponge train... still on the fence, but I enjoyed the new tips!
